Drake's More Life Sets Billboard 200 Streaming Record
March 26, 2017

Drake lands atop the Billboard 200 for the seventh time in his career with More Life, the new digital-only "playlist" release from the music superstar. According to Nielsen Music, More Life earned 505,000 equivalent album units in the week, the biggest week for any album since Drake himself eared 1.04 million total units with Views last May. A record 257,000 of these album equivalent units came from streaming, equaling 384.8 million streams of songs (each unit equals 1,500 streams of songs per album, according to Billboard & Nielsen Music's rules). Views had 163,000 streaming equivalent units in its debut week. The digital download sales figures for More Life also give it the second-biggest sales week of 2017, behind Ed Sheerans . More Life will get a CD release this Friday, March 31, with a vinyl LP on the way soon as well.

Sheeran is at #2 on the Billboard chart this week, followed by veteran rapper Rick Ross debuting at #3 with Rather You Than Me. At #4 is the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack. Depeche Mode's 14th studio album Spirit is the third debut in the top ten this week, arriving at #5.

The rest of the top ten is made up of Bruno Mars (#6), the Moana soundtrack (#7), Future's self-titled release (#8), The Weeknd (#9) and Migos (#10).
