Ken Lane
Ken Lane joins the Atlantic Records Group in an executive promotion capacity. The veteran promotion exec has been a label free agent since exiting his SVP/Promotion post at Columbia Records in October 2006. Lane will concentrate his efforts on artist projects that are in the incubator stage in advance of being worked by either the Atlantic staff or the Roadrunner staff. Lane will work closely with ARG EVP Andrea Ganis and Roadrunner promo execs Mike Easterlin and John Boulos. Prior to his stint at Columbia, Lane held a variety of promo exec positions at Island Def Jam Music Group, Arista, EMI, SBK and Jive. Lane will start his new position on September 1.

Jim Clark is named PD at Adult Standards WHAT-AM/Philadelphia. Clark, who is inbound from CHR WFLY/Albany where he was part of its Morning Rush show, will also be on the air at WHAT-AM from 10 a.m.-5 p.m..

Bill Clark, Clear Channel-Macon Manager, will be appointed to run the Akron/Canton cluster for CC, reports Ohio Media Watch. Clark replaces Dan Lankford, who was elevated to oversee the Harrisburg and Allentown, PA operations.

The FCC warns all annual regulatory payments must arrive at their St. Louis processing center by September 22 in order to avoid a 25% late-payment penalty.

KHTE-FM (K-Hits 96.5)/Little Rock launches with the 24-hour Adult CHR format from Impact Radio Networks. This is the third affiliate nationwide for IRN’s Adult CHR format.

Radio One has delayed its September 17 stock holder meeting indefinitely, as the company deals with issues involving the SEC. The Commission is looking for further information regarding Radio One's 2008 annual report.
